Impact While Uzan remains entrenched as a starter and valuable player for the 18-2 Cougars, he hasn't made the leap, at least statistically, that many expected going into his senior year. Despite averaging more minutes than the 2024-25 season, Uzan's main counting stats are down across the board. Part of that can be explained by breakout freshman Kingston Flemings getting most of the usage, but it's also worth noting that Uzan is shooting a career-low 36.2 percent from the field.

Tallies 18 in win Uzan chipped in 18 points (7-14 FG, 4-7 3Pt), three rebounds, two assists and one block over 32 minutes during Saturday's 67-60 win over Cincinnati.

Impact Uzan drained four triples en route to 18 points, his highest point total since recording 26 against Syracuse on Nov. 24. The senior point guard has not been as impactful offensively to this point as was expected coming into the season, having failed to reach double figures in scoring in four of his past five games prior to Saturday. While the dip in production is coinciding with the breakout performance from freshman Kingston Flemings, don't be surprised if Saturday's effort serves as a springboard for the talented Uzan who will be more heavily relied upon to produce now that conference play has begun.

Impact While Uzan may not be living up to some of the preseason hype, his scoring and rebounding averages are right in line with a season ago, while he's seen a marked improvement in assists, logging 5.0 per contest. It's the shooting percentage that is down nearly nine percentage points to 36.6 that is limited him from reaching his ceiling, as well as the fact that Emanuel Sharp and Kingston Flemings, who scored 22 and 21 points Saturday, respectively, have taken on more scoring-dominant roles. Uzan remains a serviceable fantasy guard, though likely not a top-20 one due to these complementary options.

The senior guard contributed season highs in scoring and rebounding, connecting on four from long range en route to more than doubling his previous high point total while also dishing out five dimes and swiping a season-high three thefts. Uzan had been taking a bit of a backseat thus far to freshman standout Kingston Flemings but Uzan took to the national stage Monday to remind everyone why he entered the season regarded as one of the top all-around point guards in the country.
