The 14-point effort marked his highest point total since Jan 13 and just the second time he's posted double digits in the scoring column against conference opponents. Rataj has seen his role dip of late, failing to see 20 minutes of action in five straight prior to Saturday after having reached that mark in 23 of his first 25 games. In 12 games since moving to the bench, Rataj has averaged 5.5 points and 3.5 boards across 18.6 minutes of action.

He arguably had his worst game of the year Saturday against TCU, fouling out after recording just a single point. Effectively, he found himself coming off the bench for the first time all season, and the end result was a season-low in minutes played. Fantasy managers may have to find alternative options if this pattern continues.

Impact It's been a bit of a tough start to Big 12 play for Rataj, who averaged 10.4 ppg and 6.6 rpg over the first 12 games of the season but is posting just 6.3 points and 3.7 rebounds in three conference games. Granted, the opponents have been some of the top teams in the league, but two of those games have been at home, and Baylor is on a three-game losing streak nonetheless. The Bears will need to rally soon to stay on the fringes of the NCAA Tournament conversation, and that starts with a road matchup Tuesday at Oklahoma State.
