Matthew Cleveland - Another big day Cleveland ended with 30 points (9-19 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 9-9 FT), eight rebounds and three assists in 36 minutes during Saturday's 98-94 OT loss to California.
Impact Cleveland oddly came off the bench after starting nine games in a row for the Hurricanes, but unlike teammate Lynn Kidd -- who didn't play at all -- it was largely business as usual. In fact, it was the second time in three games Cleveland surpassed 30 points and also his second-best scoring total of the year. Miami will remain bottom feeders in the ACC in 2024-25, but all signs point to continued production from Cleveland as he sets his sights on the next level.

Lynn Kidd - Surprise DNP Saturday Kidd did not appear in Saturday's 98-94 loss to California due to a coach's decision, Michelle Kaufman of the Miami Herald reports.
Impact Kidd had started all previous 19 games this season for the struggling Hurricanes, but interim coach Bill Courtney decided to make the switch to Kiree Huie, who logged 18 minutes in the contest. Brandon Johnson also saw a minutes boost as a result of Kidd's absence. It's unclear if this trend will continue when the Hurricanes host Virginia on Wednesday.
