Off injury report Gizzi (foot) is available for the Gophers against Purdue on Wednesday night.
Impact Gizzi has yet to play this season after breaking his foot in September, but the senior guard will be available should the Gophers need him in what figures to be a tough game against Purdue. Gizzi played for both Marian University and Huntington University in the NAIA before transferring to Minnesota.

Impact Gizzi was one of the standouts in practice for the Gophers after transferring from Marian University and Huntington University in the NAIA in recent years. The fact that he's still five or six weeks away from returning means there's a realistic chance that he won't be available for the start of the campaign, though that's still to be determined. When he's healthy, though, Gizzi should have a decent role off the bench as a backup point guard behind Chansey Willis and Langston Reynolds.
