Marquel Sutton - Third straight double-double
Sutton ended Tuesday's 107-81 victory over Alcorn State with 16 points (6-12 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 2-3 FT), 10 rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal over 30 minutes.
Impact
After a relatively quiet opener, Sutton has put up three consecutive double-doubles. The 6-8 forwad is now averaging 15.8 points and 9.8 rebounds. He is able to step out and hit 3-pointers (42.3 percent). Look for emotions to be high for Sutton when he plays Omaha next Friday. He spent the three previous seasons with the Mavericks.

Mike Nwoko - Goes off for 29 points
Nwoko registered a career-high 29 points (12-15 FG, 5-6 FT) and nine rebounds in 20 minutes during Tuesday's 107-81 win over Alcorn State.
Impact
Nwoko has been feasting against lesser competition. Through four games, he is converting 78.0 percent of his field goals and is averaging 20.3 points after providing just 6.1 points for Mississippi State last season. The 6-10 junio should continue to dominate against Omaha and Drake in the next couple of weeks.

Marquel Sutton - Goes for another double-double
Sutton chipped in 19 points (6-11 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 4-4 FT), 12 rebounds and two assists across 32 minutes during Thursday's 98-81 win over FIU.
Impact
The 6-8 Sutton grabbed just two boards in the opener, but has collected 27 rebounds in the last two games and has consecutive double-doubles. After converting less than 30 percent of his 3-pointers in his first three collegiate seasons, Sutton is knocking down 47.4 percent of his long range shots in the early going. The Omaha transfer has liked circled Nov. 21 on his calendar because he will be facing his former team.

ROTOWIRE
Max Mackinnon - Drops 17 points in win
Mackinnon totaled 17 points (5-11 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 7-8 FT), four rebounds, three assists and two steals in 28 minutes during Thursday's 98-81 victory over FIU.
Impact
Mackinnon disappeared in the Monday win over New Orleans, scoring just two points in 19 minutes. He did not even attempt a field goal. The Portland transfer bounced back against the Panthers and should get plenty of opportunities as the LSU non-conference slate continues to be light. The Tigers play Alcorn State, Omaha and Drake coming up.

Dedan Thomas Jr. - Scores 15, deals six assists
Thomas racked up 15 points (4-9 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 7-8 FT), five rebounds, six assists and one steal over 31 minutes during Thursday's 98-81 victory over FIU.
Impact
Since transferring from UNLV, Thomas has acclimated quickly to the LSU system. He has provided 7.3 assists to go along with 13.3 points and 4.3 rebounds. The 6-1 junior should find plenty of room to operate in upcoming games against Alcorn State and Omaha.

Marquel Sutton - Scores 15, grabs 15 boards
Sutton provided 15 points (4-11 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 3-4 FT), 15 rebounds and one block in 32 minutes during Monday's 93-58 win over New Orleans.
Impact
Sutton had just two rebounds in the opener against Tarleton State, but it looked like his hands had rebounding magnets against the Privateers. The 6-8 senior averaged 7.9 rebounds for Omaha last season and had eight double-doubles. LSU plays Sutton's previous team on Nov. 21, but has two games against Florida International and Alcorn State before then.

ROTOWIRE
Mike Nwoko - Scores 22 in blowout win
Nwoko registered 22 points (9-13 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 4-5 FT), five rebounds, one block and one steal in 21 minutes during Monday's 93-58 win over New Orleans.
Impact
The transfer from Mississippi State had 11 points, eight rebounds and three blocks in the opening win over Tarleton State. He looks like a rock solid starter with the Tigers and should get more minutes in more competitive games. The LSU non-conference slate is light, so Nwoko might see limited playing time for the next couple weeks.

Pablo Tamba - Snags double-double
Tamba notched 10 points (4-5 FG, 2-4 FT), 10 rebounds, two assists and one block across 21 minutes during Monday's 93-58 victory over New Orleans.
Impact
The UC-Davis transfer had just four points and five rebounds in 15 foul-plagued minutes in the opening win over Tarleton State. The 6-7 Spaniard had one double-double last season. He will look to get more playing time against lightly regarded opponents such as Florida International and Alcorn State coming up.

Robert Miller - Perfect from field Wednesday
Miller (ankle) had 10 points (2-2 FG, 6-6 FT), six rebounds, one assist, one block and two steals across 25 minutes during Wednesday's 96-60 win over Tarleton St..
Impact
Miller was dealing with an ankle injury before this season opener, and while he was limited to 25 minutes off the bench in this one, he certainly made his presence felt across the board. Miller should continue to have a role in the rotation when LSU takes on New Orleans on Monday, Nov. 10.

ROTOWIRE
Ron Zipper - Plays one minute
Zipper (undisclosed) ended Wednesday's 96-60 victory over Tarleton St. with no counting stats in one minute.
Impact
Zipper logged one minute of action in this blowout 36-point win. He'll be a depth option for the Tigers moving forward.

ROTOWIRE
Dedan Thomas - Deals eight dimes
Thomas ended with 16 points (6-7 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 4-4 FT), five rebounds and eight assists in 26 minutes during Wednesday's 96-60 victory over Tarleton State.
Impact
The UNLV looks ready to run the show on the bayou for coach Mike McMahon. The 6-1 point guard averaged at least 4.7 assists in his two seasons as a starter for the Runnin' Rebels. Although the Tigers' next opponent, New Orleans, pulled off an upset against TCU on Monday, LSU should have no problem with the Privateers. Look for Thomas to continue to put up big numbers.

Jalen Reed - Scores 11, grabs six boards
Reed (knee) recorded 11 points (3-4 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 4-6 FT), six rebounds, one assist and two steals over 18 minutes during Wednesday's 96-60 victory over Tarleton State.
Impact
Reed had his first action since undergoing ACL surgery last December. He came off the bench, but was productive in limited minutes against an overmanned opponent. The Tiger non-conference schedule is light, so the 6-10 junior can be brought along gradually.

ROTOWIRE
Jalen Reed - Available vs. Tarleton State
Reed (knee) is available for Wednesday's game against Tarleton State, according to Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.
Impact
Now that Reed is available, the question becomes whether or not he can replicate his latest season's stats over a longer span. During his 2024-25 season, he logged 11.1 points and 6.5 rebounds per game. The problem is that because of his knee injury, Louisiana State used him for fewer than 10 matchups. But leaning towards the optimistic side of the spectrum, Reed continuing to average his aforementioned numbers would easily make him a top option, even with Southeastern Conference standards being exponentially high.

Jalen Reed - Should be available for opener
Reed (knee) is ahead of schedule in his recovery and should be available for LSU's opener against Tarleton State on Nov. 5, per Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.
Impact
Reed played in LSU's exhibition win over UCF on Sunday, notching six points and five rebounds. The forward appears good to go for the Tigers, which is big considering he hasn't played since December of 2024. In that season, though he played in just eight games, Reed averaged 11.1 points, 6.5 rebounds and 1.3 assists.

ROTOWIRE
Ron Zipper - Sits out exhibition vs. UCF
Zipper (undisclosed) didn't play in LSU's exhibition against UCF, per Toyloy Brown III of NOLA.com.
Impact
Zipper didn't suit up in the Tigers' exhibition clash with the Knights, throwing his status for the opener against Tarleton State on Nov. 5 in question. The international prospect from Israel is making his college basketball debut in 2025-2026, but he may not be available right when the seasons tips off.

ROTOWIRE
Robert Miller - DNP in exhibition
Miller (ankle) was held out of Sunday's exhibition matchup agianst UCF, per Toyloy Brown III of NOLA.com.
Impact
Miller was reportedly held out of Sunday exhibition after tweaking his ankle in practice last week. The 6-foot-10 forward played a small role largely off the bench for the Tigers during the 2024-25 season, averaging 4.5 points and 3.1 rebounds in 15.7 minutes per game, though he showed his ability when given the opportunity last year, averaging 10.3 points per game across three consecutive starts to end last season. The details and severity of his injury are thus far unknown, putting his status for Wednesday's season opener against Tarleton State in question.
