Mason Faulkner - Takes part in exhibition Faulkner (ankle) tallied a pair of assists and a rebound over 11 minutes in Friday's exhibition versus Kentucky State.

Impact Faulkner underwent ankle surgery in the offseason but was expected to be ready for the start of the regular season. It appears he's already made his way back into action and will indeed be available for the start of the regular season Nov. 9 versus Southern.

Malik Williams - Looks healthy in scrimmage Williams (foot) "looked 100 percent" in a team scrimmage Saturday, scoring eight points on 3-of-10 shooting, freelance college basketball writer Jeff Greer reports.

Impact Williams played in just three games last season, as he tended to an injured foot early and aggravated the injury upon his return. After a full offseason to recover, the fifth-year senior appears to be playing without limitations. He was praised for his passing ability in this contest, and even had a coast-to-coast dunk in transition. All signs are pointing to Williams drawing the start at the five, with Jae'Lyn Withers occupying the power forward spot next to him.

Mason Faulkner - Back to full practice Faulkner (ankle) is practicing in full, according to freelance college basketball writer Jeff Greer.

Impact Faulkner has been easing back into action over the last few weeks and sat out last Saturday's team scrimmage as a result. The fifth-year season is expected to provide the Cardinals with a scoring boost off the bench when healthy. He's coming off back-to-back seasons of 17.0 ppg or greater as the primary ball handler for Western Carolina.
