Alvaro Folgueiras - Heading to ACC
Folgueiras has committed to Louisville, according to Dushawn London of 247Sports.com.
Impact
Folgueiras was limited to a bench role at Iowa in the 2025-26 season, averaging 8.4 points and 3.6 rebounds per game while starting in just one of his 37 appearances. He should add depth to Louisville's frontcourt, but it wouldn't be surprising if he has a bench role again.

Karter Knox - Commits to Louisville
Knox (knee) has committed to Louisville, according to Brooks Holton of the Courier Journal.
Impact
Louisville's team has already stacked its roster with Jackson Shelstad and Flory Bidunga, and adding Knox to the Cardinal frontcourt would aim to complement their newly formed duo. Knox had been a complementary piece for the Razorbacks, especially their 2025-26 team under John Calipari. So as long as Knox's knee heals up, he should be a crucial piece for a Louisville program trying to maintain top-tier relevancy in the ACC.

Flory Bidunga - Commits to Louisville
Bidunga has committed to Louisville, according to Pete Thamel of ESPN.
Impact
One of the transfer portal's biggest names will be a package deal, along with Jackson Shelstad, to a Louisville team rising up the ranks after an excellent season under Pat Kelsey and NBA-bound freshman Mikel Brown. For the Jayhawks, Bidunga averaged 13.3 points, 9.0 rebounds and 2.6 blocks, carrying a great load offensively and leading the Jayhawks defensively.

Jackson Shelstad - Commits to Louisville
Shelstad (hand) has committed to Louisville, according to Pete Thamel of ESPN.
Impact
Louisville's team raised its overall stock with Mikel Brown at the point last season, but with him going pro, the Cardinals need a replacement at their one. In place of him will be Shelstad, who delivered whenever for Oregon. Just last season, he updated his career-highs in points (15.6) and three-pointers made (2.8) per game despite a hand injury rendering him out for much of the 2025-26 season. Now that Shelstad's 2026-27 season includes a team, his focus shifts to recovering for next season, playmaking for a team both led by him and Flory Bidunga.

Mikel Brown Jr. - Declares for 2026 NBA Draft
Brown (back) has declared for the 2026 NBA Draft, according to Matthew McGavic of SI.com.
Impact
Brown was Louisville's top prize of the 2025 recruiting class, a five-star point guard that arguably ranked the best in the position. While healthy, he proved his worth, backed up by 18.2 points, 4.7 assists, 3.3 rebounds, 2.6 three-pointers made and 1.2 steals per game on 41.0/34.4/84.4 shooting splits. If anything, Brown's problem was staying healthy, as he barely scraped 20 games because of a persistent back issue that may remain a negative part of his high stock going into the 2026 NBA Draft. As long as Brown's injury is not debilitating, he is projected to be a lottery pick for his scoring and playmaking.
