West Virginia was able to battle and keep in close thanks to their physical defense, but they just couldn't get Johnson enough help on offense to advance in the Round of 64. Johnson took a big step this season going from averaging 5.3 points and 1.7 assists as a sophomore to 11.2 points and 3.2 assists as a junior. If he chooses to return to WVU next year, Johnson will certainly be one to keep an eye on in fantasy leagues that include the Big 12.

However, Johnson continued to contribute on the defensive end with a season high in steals and one of his best outings as a passer with six assists. Johnson finished the final five games of the regular season averaging 15.6 points, 2.4 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 3.0 steals per game.
