Decent effort off bench
Lands totaled 13 points (3-5 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 6-6 FT) and two rebounds in 21 minutes during Monday's 80-54 loss to Arkansas.
Impact
Lands has been playing off the bench in each of Louisville's first four games, but this scoring output came out of nowhere. He had scored only two points in his previous three games combined, and while he looked excellent in this one, he's not expected to perform at this level in upcoming contests. He should remain as a bench option when Louisville takes on Texas Tech on Nov. 22.

Strong showing in scrimmage
Lands had 16 points (7-13 FG, 2-4 3Pt), four rebounds, an assist and two steals across 32 minutes in Sunday's intrasquad scrimmage.
Impact
Lands came out with the green light to shoot and ending up tying El Ellis as the leading scorer on the winning side of the scrimmage. He was also the only player on both sides to make multiple three-point baskets. Lands is a four-star recruit and sits at the top of Louisville's 2022 class, which alone makes him a candidate to log heavy playing time in a backcourt that endured several big offseason losses. At 6-foot-8, he creates a matchup problem for opposing guards on the perimeter.
