He's been an all-around contributor for the Hawkeyes this season, and his four rebounds and four assists in the narrow win over USC represented that well. He struggled from the field, needing six shots to reach six points, but his work on the glass and as a passer was a positive contribution as Iowa won a huge game against the Trojans for a third consecutive victory.

Impact Combs continues to play a minor role for the Hawkeyes. Even across the last seven games, in which he's been a starter, he's still only averaging 4.7 points, 2.1 rebounds and 3.0 assists. He's been very unselfish and solid as a facilitator, but hasn't been all that assertive as a scorer. Combs remains a key cog for Iowa, but don't expect him to stuff the stat sheet any time soon.
