Bright spot in loss Moore closed Sunday's 57-36 loss to Baylor with 15 points (5-14 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 3-3 FT), six rebounds and one assist across 33 minutes.
Impact Moore played his game well, recording expected numbers despite his team's struggle to stack up against the Bears. He has averaged 7.5 rebounds in his last four performances and over the season he has only failed to surpass 10 points twice. Matchups like this show that not even an elite defense like Baylor can hinder his production.

Leading rebounder in win Moore closed with 16 points (6-13 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 2-3 FT), seven rebounds, four assists and one steal across 30 minutes during Saturday's 81-52 win over Saint Joseph's.
Impact Moore showed great mental fortitude, he recorded all 16 points and seven rebounds in the second half after missing all four of his first-half attempts. The junior suffocated opposing guard Taylor Funk, Moore's leadership on defense helped hold Funk scoreless for the first time in his career. In his last three matches, Moore has averaged 11.3 points and 7.3 rebounds during 30.3 minutes per game.

Leads team in scoring Moore racked up 19 points (7-15 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 2-4 FT), three rebounds, three assists and one steal over 37 minutes during Sunday's 80-74 loss to Purdue.
Impact Moore's 19 points were enough to push the lead up to 11 points before the Wildcats cooled off in the second half. He was one of five Villanova players to score double-digit points on the night, but Moore remained the go-to guy. The junior led the team in shot attempts for the third time this season and remained a good source of ball movement. He helped Villanova generate 11 more three-point opportunities than Purdue and all three of his assists resulted in three-pointers. He will look to find more hot hands to feed against La Salle on Sunday.

Accumulates 27 points Moore racked up 27 points (9-15 FG, 6-8 3pt, 3-4 FT), seven assists, two rebounds and two steals in 33 minutes during 91-51 victory over Mountaineers on Tuesday.
Impact Moore's career-high 27 points kicks his season off right. The junior averaged 12.9 points, three assists and 0.6 steals per game last year, making just 31 percent of his three-point shots. His seven assists and two steals show a far more well-rounded player on the court this season.

Six things to watch Thursday in the Big East Tournament (and how to win $1,000)
Won't return Saturday Moore (ankle) won't rejoin the action Saturday versus Providence.
Impact Moore's injury hits the Wildcats harder after they just losing the services of Collin Gillespie for the remainder of the season. Chris Arcidiacono -- a famous last name in Villanova circles -- appears set to take over point guard duties for much of the second half, but it would certainly be beneficial for the Wildcats to get Moore back in short order.

Limps off with ankle injury Moore turned his left ankle in the first half of Saturday's game against Providence and limped off the court with the assistance of the team trainers, C.J. Holmes of The Athletic r...
Impact Moore getting injured is about the last thing the Wildcats could afford as he's the one who is stepping in to take over at point guard after Collin Gillespie suffered a season-ending knee injury earlier in the week. A return to the game is not out of the question for Moore but based on how he left the court a return doesn't seem all too likely. Chris Arcidiacono entered the game in his place as he and Bryan Antoine could see extended minutes if he ends up being ruled out for the rest of Saturday's contest.

Steps up after Gillespie injury Moore finished with a season-high 24 points (9-12 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 3-3 FT) to go with five rebounds, five assists, one steal and one block across 31 minutes Wednesday in Villanova's 72...
Impact With star point guard Collin Gillespie exiting in the first half with what appeared to be a fairly significant left knee injury, Moore rose to the occasion to fill the playmaking void. While he shouldn't be expected to regularly hit 75 percent of his shot attempts, Moore will likely benefit from a spike in usage in the event Gillespie remains sidelined for the Big East and NCAA tournaments. The extent of Gillespie's injury won't be fully known until the results of his MRI become available, but he can probably be ruled out for Saturday's regular-season finale at Providence.

Leads team in points Moore finished with 21 points (6-10 FG, 3-4 3PT, 1-2 FT), six rebounds, one assist and two blocks during 36 minutes in the 86-70 loss to Creighton on Saturday.
Impact Moore extended his double-digit points streak to three games and set another season-high in points (21). Moore has been rather consistent this season in the points department, but has been off and on everywhere else. He also has not seen close to 50 percent from the floor yet this season and shows how much upside he could have if he were to find his shooting rhythm.

Records season high points Moore recorded 19 points (6-9 FG, 2-4 3PT, 5-6 FT) and three rebounds in the close 68-64 win over Texas on Sunday.
Impact Moore put together a strong performance in the win Sunday. The guard had a night that saw him land his season high in points and was strong at the line. He also tallied a few rebounds here and there, but mostly had the hot hand for Villanova. The Wildcats will need Moore to produce like this every match if they want to contend throughout the season. This should not be a problem for the guard as he has now recorded 71 points through his first five matches.

Expected to take big leap Coach Jay Wright expects Moore to take a big leap this season, C.J. Holmes of The Athletic reports.
Impact Moore turned himself into a very quality starter in his first season with the team last year. He started the last 10 games and averaged 11.8 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 2.7 three-pointers per contest. Moore should start from the jump this season and make up a terrific backcourt alongside Collin Gillespie.
