Impact Broome sustained a minor shoulder injury in Tuesday's loss to Texas A&M, but it clearly wasn't a factor here. The Player of the Year candidate played nearly every minute in a contest that went to overtime, and he scored a season-best 34 points along the way. He and the Tigers may be the SEC regular season champions and carry the top seed into next week's conference tournament, but Auburn has now lost back-to-back games and may be in jeopardy of losing the No. 1 ranking it has held for much of the second half of the season.

Impact Broome is dealing with a shoulder stinger suffered during Tuesday's loss against the Aggies. The 6-foot-10 senior's availability is not in question moving forward, but Auburn would love to have the workhorse of their team at 100% moving into the SEC Tournament and NCAA Tournament. Through 28 games (27 starts), Broome has been one of the best players in the NCAA, averaging 18 points, 10.7 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 0.8 steals and 2.4 blocks. With Broome at the helm, Auburn is poised for a deep run in March.

He's shot 7-of-18 from the field and 0-for-3 from deep in those two outings. What's more, his six and seven rebounds in those games respectively represent a dip from his average of 10.7 and in the loss to the Aggies, Broome shot just one free throw. Those would be concerning numbers over a longer period of time, but this is just two games and Broome has shown us all season why he's a Wooden Award favorite. Look for the big man to bounce back against Alabama in a huge clash to close out the regular season.
