Impact Crocker-Johnson was Minnesota's leading scorer against Purdue, but he needed 13 shots for his 17 points and was nearly a non-factor in the paint, pulling down a season-low two rebounds. The Boilermakers will give plenty of teams trouble this season, and it's good to see Crocker-Johnson still manage to have a solid night even in defeat. He should be primed to stack good performances, as the Gophers' next three opponents are Texas Southern, Campbell and Fairleigh-Dickinson.

The 6-foot-8 junior transfer from Colorado State has started in each of Minnesota's first eight games, averaging 12.4 points, 9.1 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 1.1 blocks on 31.1 minutes per game. Crocker-Johnson's status will be worth monitoring leading up to tipoff tomorrow.

Impact It was just the second time all season JCJ failed to score in double figures, as he was unable to draw any fouls here after picking up 16 points from the charity stripe over his last three games combined. He did put up a season-best 23 points the day before in a loss to Stanford, while also contributing on the defensive end with four blocks. He also started out the year with three double-doubles in four games, so there's definitely some fantasy value here despite playing on a struggling Minnesota team that has lost three in a row.
