Scores 19 points Walton racked up 19 points (6-9 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 7-7 FT), one rebound and two steals in 26 minutes during Saturday's 73-69 win over Tulsa.

Impact 2023 is expected to be Walton's best year of collegiate basketball. He has 12.2 points averaged across his 15 games played since November. But unlike during 2022, Walton will have all of 2023 to be a primary or secondary option.

Commits to Bulldogs for 2022 Walton has committed to Mississippi State for the Class of 2022, Paul Jones of 247 Sports reports.

Impact Walton began his collegiate career in the SEC with Georgia, but various ailments led to him only seeing the floor for seven games in his freshman season before ultimately taking a redshirt. Two games into the 2020-21 season, Walton elected to enter the transfer portal. He'll play out this season at Shelton Community College before officially enrolling with the Bulldogs next year. Walton is a 6-6 combo guard that can play the two or the three. Once considered a four-star prospect, Walton has a chance to build experience and become an immediate contributor for Ben Howland and co. in 2022-23.
