Impact Quaintance missed the Wildcats' win over Mississippi State, his 12th total absence this season. The forward has played in just four games in 2025-26, but he's reportedly progressing through his knee ailment and should be trending towards making a recovery sooner rather than later. Still, we have no time-table for the sophomore forward's return.

Dealing with knee injury Quaintance is experiencing knee swelling and will be held out until he's 100 percent ready to return, Jack Pilgrim of Kentucky Sports Radio reports.

Impact The swelling has been "on and off since making his debut," according to Pilgrim, so Kentucky is taking the safe approach here. This means the big man is going to miss at least a few games and there's no concrete date for his return to action.

Impact Quaintance played in two short stints in the first half and showed energy. He played the majority of the second half as the Wildcats more than doubled their point total from the first half. His offense looked rusty, but he was active on the offensive boards (five) and on the defensive end. The Arizona State transfer looks like he will be a spark for the Wildcats after missing 10 games.
