GAME LOG

Working back into practice Quaintance (knee) has been working back into parts of practice this week according to head coach Mark Pope, per Ben Roberts of the Lexington Herald-Leader.
Impact Quaintance has yet to make his debut this season, but it appears his knee is healing. Pope also mentioned that the sophomore big man will be brought back slowly, which has restricted him from being a full scout team body. Quaintance remains questionable for Friday's game versus Gonzaga, although it's more likely he'll make a return in the coming week or two.
16 HOURS AGO • ROTOWIRE
Still sidelined Quaintance (knee) is out for Tuesday's game against North Carolina, Noah Ellis of ABC 36 reports.
Impact Quiantance is still working his way back from an ACL injury, and while he's made progress, he's not quite ready to return. His next chance to play will come Friday against Gonzaga.
2 DAYS AGO • ROTOWIRE
Not ready to play yet Quaintance (knee) is out for Wednesday's game against Tennessee Tech, Cole Parke of 247Sports.com reports.
Impact Quaintance has been making progress in his return from the ACL injury he sustained last season, but he's still not ready to play and won't see action Wednesday. A return in the near future is still possible for the sophomore forward, though, who should be back on the hardwood at some point in mid-December based on the latest updates and his progress in practice.
NOVEMBER 26 • ROTOWIRE
Mark Pope details Jayden Quaintance's controlled 3-on-3 work, Mo Dioubate's steady recovery Kentucky’s head coach says both young forwards are trending upward as the Wildcats prepare for the season.
NOVEMBER 25 • ASEAOFBLUE.COM
Making progress Quiantance participated in 3-on-3 work during Monday's practice and is making good progress in his recovery from ACL surgery, Jeff Drummond of Rivals.com reports.
Impact Kentucky head coach Mark Pope offered the update, and while it looks like Quaintance isn't quite ready to return, he's getting closer. The star forward tore his ACL in February and had surgery in March. Based on Pope's update, an early-to-mid December return seems plausible.
NOVEMBER 24 • ROTOWIRE
Out Friday night Quaintance (knee) is out against Loyola-Maryland on Friday night, per Cole Parke of 247Sports.com.
Impact Quaintance has yet to play this season and that won't change in what should be an easy win for the Wildcats on Friday night. The Arizona State transfer's next opportunity to play will come on Nov. 26 against Tennessee Tech.
NOVEMBER 21 • ROTOWIRE
Sidelined in MSG Quaintane (knee) won't play in Kentucky's tilt with Michigan State on Tuesday in Madison Square Garden, per Jeff Goodman of TheFieldof68.com.
Impact Quaintance still has yet to play this season, and he won't get a chance to change that against the Spartans in the Champions Classic in New York City. With Kentucky also down Jaland Lowe, its starting point guard, the Wildcats will be significantly short-handed against a Michigan State squad that's off to a great start in 2025-2026.
NOVEMBER 18 • ROTOWIRE
Out Friday night Quaintance (knee) won't play on Friday night against Eastern Illinois, per Darrell Bird of 247Sports.com.
Impact Quaintance has yet to play this season, and that won't change against Eastern Illinois on Friday night. The forward, who transferred over from Arizona State, is expected to be the Wildcats' top center this season, but he has yet to step on the court. His next chance to play will come in a big showdown with Michigan State on Tuesday, Nov. 18.
NOVEMBER 14 • ROTOWIRE
Remains out vs. Louisville Quaintance (knee) won't play against Louisville on Tuesday, per Brandon Ramsey of KSR.
Impact Quaintance has yet to play this season, and that won't change in the Wildcats' huge clash with Louisville. The sophomore was highly impactful in his first year at Kentucky, averaging 9.4 points and 7.9 rebounds across 24 games with 24 starts. He figures to resume that role in the Wildcats' front court as soon as he's healthy.
NOVEMBER 11 • ROTOWIRE
Ahead of schedule Quaintance (knee) is ahead of schedule for his recovery, according to Jeff Drummond of On3.
Impact Kentucky's head coach Mark Pope announced that Quaintance is starting to get back on the court for minimal contact in five-on-five drills. He looks good going into an upcoming strength and shows little to no asymmetry between both his knees. Quaintance is questionable going into Friday's game against Valparaiso, though a lot of steps in his recovery suggest he may sit out then just like he did Tuesday.
NOVEMBER 6 • ROTOWIRE
Out Tuesday night Quaintance (knee) won't be available for Kentucky's clash with Nicholls State on Tuesday night, per Jeff Goodman of On3.com.
Impact Quaintance was considered a question mark all throughout the preseason as he sat out exhibitions and was without a timetable to return from his knee ailment. The center is fully expected to suit up and be available for the Wildcats sooner rather than later, but that won't be the case in the opener against Nicholls State. Quaintance averaged 9.4 points and 7.9 rebounds last season for Arizona State.
NOVEMBER 4 • ROTOWIRE
Out for Thursday's exhibition Quaintance (knee) is out for Thursday's exhibition versus Georgetown, Andrew Stefaniak of SI.com reports.
Impact Quaintance will miss another exhibition game, an unsurprising development after he tore his ACL in February. Head coach Mark Pope said that he thinks Quaintance will play at some point this season, but given the nature of his injury it will likely take some time.
OCTOBER 30 • ROTOWIRE
Sits first exhibition Quaintance (knee) did not take the court in a 78-65 exhibition victory over Purdue on Oct. 24.
Impact The absence here comes as little surprise, as Quaintance has been working his way back from ACL surgery in March. While coach Mark Pope has indicated that the center will play this season, news on a potential timetable for return has been sparse. Kentucky has one more exhibition matchup against Georgetown scheduled for Oct. 30 before opening up the season against Nicholls on Nov. 4. In the meantime, Kentucky started Brandon Garrison and Mouhamed Dioubate in the frontcourt for exhibition play -- a pattern that could continue into the regular season if it holds Thursday night.

Likely to Play This Season Kentucky coach Mark Pope indicated that Quaintance (knee) is likely to play this season, according to Myron Medcalf of ESPN. Pope said, "I'm not exactly sure how long of a wait it...
Impact Quaintance tore his ACL in February and had knee surgery in March. The 6-10 forward averaged 9.4 points, 7.9 rebounds and 2.6 blocks for Arizona State last season as a freshman. While his coach said he would be back, there is no timeline for his return. If fantasy leagues have an injury slot, he could be a worthy late round draft and stash.

Mark Pope gives encouraging injury update on Jayden Quaintance “He is breaking every record known to humankind in terms of his rehab.”
OCTOBER 6 • ASEAOFBLUE.COM
Making significant progress Quaintance (knee) is making significant progress, according to Jeff Drummond of On3.
Impact While the Quaintance injury status remains not 100 percent identified, his recent testing has provided optimism that he can be ready to go. Kentucky's team will be cautious, unsurprising considering there is still a month before regular-season action returns, but him doing great suggests that there may be a possibility he may be available for UK's upcoming exhibition.
OCTOBER 6 • ROTOWIRE
Still not cleared Quaintance (knee) is still not cleared for non-contact work, according to Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.
Impact In some offseason cases, injured players recover quicker than expected. That has not been the case for Quaintance, and it looks like he is far from recovering if non-contact work still remains a task for him. There is still a chance Quaintance logs full-contact work in September, and the beginning of next season still remains a plausible return date for him.
