Dealing with migraine
Coleman-Lands was held out of Monday's game against Oklahoma State due to a migraine, Matt Tait of the Lawrence Journal-World reports.
Impact
This is positive news for the Jayhawks and confirms that his absence should be a short one. "We were hoping he could rally and be available, but he couldn't," said coach Bill Self after the win. "He was in quite a bit of pain." Coleman-Lands should be considered day-to-day heading into Saturday's matchup at West Virginia.

Out Monday
Coleman-Landis (illness) will miss Monday's game against Oklahoma State, Matt Tait of the Lawrence Journal-World reports.
Impact
Coleman-Landis is reportedly out due to a non-COVID-related injury and should not have an extended absence. The senior transfer is averaging 4.3 points and 0.7 rebounds in 9.8 minutes played in his first season with the Jayhawks.

Slides back to bench
Coleman-Land will return to a bench role Saturday versus Baylor, Michael Swain of 247Sports.com reports.
Impact
Coleman-Lands made a cameo in the starting five against Iowa State with Ochai Agbaji in COVID-19 protocols but will cede his spot back with Agbaji clearing for Saturday's contest. Coleman-Lands will also likely see his minutes decrease as a result.

Getting start against former team
Coleman-Lands is in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against Iowa state, Michael Swain of 247Sports.com reports.
Impact
Coleman-Lands will likely be counted upon to play a lot of minutes and play more of a role in the offense than normal with both Ochai Agbaji and Remy Martin out Tuesday. Coleman-Lands was a 14 PPG just last season with Iowa State.

Puts in 20 off bench
Coleman-Lands ended with 20 points (7-9 FG, 5-7 3Pt, 1-2 FT), two rebounds, three assists and two blocks in 25 minutes before fouling out of Saturday's 76-67 victory over George Ma...
Impact
Coleman-Lands had just a combined four points in 10 minutes over his last two games, but the Jayhawks needed someone to step up Saturday in the absence of starting point guard Remy Martin. That player ended up being Coleman-Lands, who got hot from outside and recorded his highest scoring total to date with Kansas. The veteran guard is a capable scorer when he gets the opportunity, as shown by a 14.3 ppg average with Iowa State last season, but this year finds himself on a deeper roster with a tighter rotation, so performances like this may be few and far between.

Scores eight off bench in rout
Coleman-Lands supplied eight points (3-3 FG, 2-2 3Pt), two rebounds, two assists and two steals over 12 minutes during Saturday's 102-65 win over Missouri.
Impact
This was Coleman-Lands' second highest scoring output of the season. He was a 14.3 point per game scorer last season on a bad Iowa State team. On Kansas, however, coach Bill Self only needs to play the veteran 8-12 minutes per game. Unless there is an injury in front of him, there just won't be enough volume here.

Back in action
Coleman-Lands (toe) finished with seven points (3-4 FG, 1-2 3PT), two assists and one steal in 15 minutes Thursday against Stoney Brook.
Impact
The senior guard had been nursing a toe injury suffered Nov. 9 against Michigan State, but he was cleared to take the court Thursday evening. Through three contests in 2021, he's averaging 7.3 points and 1.0 assists in 12.3 minutes.

Hoping to practice Wednesday
Coleman-Lands injured his toe during Tuesday's game against Tarleton State but hopes to practice Wednesday, Jordan Guskey of The Topeka Capital-Journal reports.
Impact
Coleman-Lands' toe injury has been bothersome for a while, but he managed to take the floor for 12 minutes again Tuesday after playing 10 minutes in the opener versus Michigan State. Assuming he can practice as he plans to do, the senior should be able to take the floor against Stony Brook on Thursday.

Logs 10 minutes despite toe injury
Coleman-Lands (toe) had five points (1-5 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 2-3 FT) and an assist across 10 minutes off the bench in Tuesday's 87-74 victory over Michigan State.
Impact
Coleman-Lands has been limited of late by injury, but that didn't stop him from contributing in a reserve capacity in the opener. As a player who has had double-digit scoring seasons with three separate schools, look for Coleman-Lands to see his role expand as he gets closer to 100 percent.

Warming up Tuesday
Coleman-Lands (toe) was seen warming up pregame, CJ Moore of The Athletic reports.
Impact
Coleman-Lands did not play in the team's exhibition game as he works his way back from a toe injury. It's unclear if he is 100 percent yet, but the Jayhawks could use his versatility with Jalen Wilson suspended for the first three games of the season.

Hoping to play soon
Coleman-Lands (toe) returned to practice over the last few days, according to Sam Lance of the University of Kansas.
Impact
Coleman-Lands missed Wednesday's exhibition and while he's back in practice, he acknowledged he's still not fully healthy and far from being 100 percent. He should remain questionable for next week's season opener at Michigan State on Nov. 9.

Will miss exhibition game Wednesday
Coleman-Lands (toe) will miss the Jayhawks' warm-up exhibition game against Emporia State on Wednesday, Jordan Guskey of The Topeka Capital-Journal reports.
Impact
Coleman-Lands is currently dealing with a sore toe, but he is expected to play through the injury to start the season. It's possible the guard is able to start for a game or two while current starter, Jalen Wilson, is out with a three-game suspension.

Coleman-Lands is dealing with a sore toe according to head coach Bill Self, Jordan Guskey of The Topeka Capital-Journal reports.

Season-high 21 in another loss
Coleman-Lands had a season-high 21 points (8-11 FG, 4-6 3Pt, 1-1 FT), four rebounds, three assists, and a block in a loss to TCU on Saturday.
Impact
Coleman-Lands led all scorers in the game, but it was not enough to help Iowa State to their first win in conference play. The Cyclones are now 0-15 in the Big 12, despite having a fair amount of close calls. Coleman-Lands has been one of the few bright spots lately, averaging 17.3 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 2.3 three-pointers per contest over his last six games. Iowa State will face Texas on Tuesday.

Inactive Monday
Coleman-Lands won't play in Monday's game against Oklahoma State due to COVID-19 issues.
Impact
The guard isn't suiting up Monday as he deals with the NCAA's health and safety protocols regarding COVID-19. Thus, Colemand-Lands, along with fellow starters, Tre Jackson, Javan Johnson and Solomon Young who's all three battling the same issue, won't be available for the Cyclones against the Cowboys.
