Impact Gillespie was the only Volunteer who scored in double digits as the team was held below 65 points for the second straight game. The 6-1 senior has been getting by on volume. In his last four games, he has converted just 31.3 percent of his field goals and 27.3 percent of his 3-pointers. Gillespie has scored in double digits in all of those games, but Tennessee will need him to make more shots to snap their three-game losing streak against Louisville on Tuesday.

This is likely what Gillespie was planning on and influenced his decision to come to Tennessee for his final year of eligibility. Gillespie put up 14.7 ppg and 4.8 apg last season with the Terps, but those numbers may be tough to replicate with Tennessee playing at a significantly reduced tempo than Maryland, even if Gillespie has the job to himself.

His solid campaign and Third Team All Big Ten honor should round out to get him a lot of interest from high-level programs as he approaches his senior year.
