Quinerly should still see upwards of 20 minutes as he is one of the team's better all-around offensive players.

Impact Quinerly still came off the bench in this contest for the second time in the last three games, but it didn't stop him from posting his first 20-point scoring effort with the Tide, which was also a career-high for the sophomore. He still did not record an assist in the contest, however, and paired with four turnovers, Quinerly is now dangerously close to a negative assist-to-turnover ratio. There have been some bumps early in his Alabama tenure, but Quinerly's SEC debut was certainly one of the bright spots.

Impact Quinerly came off the bench for the first time this year after six consecutive starts to begin the season, as coach Nate Oats was unimpressed with his defensive effort last week against Furman. Things didn't get much better Saturday, as he racked up as many turnovers as all of the other primary ball-handlers combined. Quinerly will have one more chance to prove himself Tuesday against ETSU before SEC play begins the following week.

Impact Quinerly played a season-low 17 minutes in the Tide's last game against Furman after receiving critical comments from head coach Nate Oats on his defensive efforts. It seems as though Quinerly's lack of work on the defensive end will cost him his starting spot for the time being, but he should still see a healthy dose of minutes off the bench. James Rojas is receiving the start in his place.

Impact According to Michael Casagrande of the Brimingham News, Quinerly didn't see the court much due to his defensive efforts. After the game, he drew criticism from coach Nate Oats for not closing hard enough, allowing the Paladins to have sustained success from beyond the arc. In Quinerly's place, backup point guard Joshua Primo saw 22 minutes of action, but down the stretch, it was forward Herb Jones doing quite a bit of the ball handling. It will certainly be interesting to see if Quinerly can redeem himself in another tough, non-conference game Saturday against Western Kentucky.

Impact This was essentially a tune-up game for Quinerly and the Tide, but it's also our first look at the team's new starting point guard, as Quinerly had his waiver for immediate eligibility denied in 2019-20. The Villanova transfer was a highly-touted recruit, but never quite made it on the floor for significant run for the Wildcats. Now set to run point for the fast-paced, small-ball offense of head coach Nate Oats, the fantasy ceiling here is the highest it has ever been. This offense has room for a bunch of double-digit scorers, and Quinerly's usage in the opener suggests he's well on that path.
