Tate Sage - Leads charge off bench Sage logged 13 points (4-6 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 4-4 FT), four rebounds, one assist and one block across 29 minutes during Sunday's 75-69 loss to Illinois.
Impact Sage was Iowa's top player off the bench, scoring an efficient 13 points on four shots while pulling down four boards. The freshman wing has been largely quiet this season, but 13 points matched his career high, and 29 minutes were easily the most he's played. Sage, who's played 20-plus minutes in back-to-back games, could be earning a bigger role moving forward.

Cam Manyawu - Limited to eight minutes in loss Manyawu produced zero points (0-1 FG) and one rebound across eight minutes during Sunday's 75-69 loss to Illinois.
Impact Manyawu played just eight minutes against the Illini, his lowest playing time all season. He missed his only shot and pulled down one rebound to barely make a dent on the stat sheet. The junior forward has started every game for the Hawkeyes but is averaging just 16.3 minutes. He hasn't been that impactful as scorer, and that shouldn't be expected to change any time soon.

Alvaro Folgueiras - Eight and eight in first start Folgueiras supplied eight points (2-9 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT), eight rebounds, three assists, one block and one steal in 34 minutes during Sunday's 75-69 loss to Illinois.
Impact Folgueiras notched his first start of the 2025-26 campaign in the loss to Illinois, and while he was active on the glass with eight boards, he struggled as a scorer, needing nine shots to tally eight points. The junior forward has been largely efficient this season, but it was a bad time to go cold from the field against a tough Illinois team. Folgueiras will look to bounce back in another tough matchup at Purdue on Jan. 14.
JANUARY 12 ROTOWIRE
Zvonimir Ivisic - Eight points off bench Ivisic accumulated eight points (3-5 FG, 2-4 3Pt), two rebounds, one assist and one block over 15 minutes during Sunday's 75-69 victory over Iowa.
Impact Ivisic was once again very efficient in a limited outing off the bench. He canned two triples en route to scoring eight points on five shots. The forward is shooting with career-best efficiency this season, hitting 58.3 percent of his shots from the floor and 38 percent of his shots from downtown. Don't expect a massive outing from the bench player any time soon, but he's been a crucial member of Illinois' rotation.
