Officially out Thursday Dosunmu (nose) will miss Thursday's game against Nebraska, Brian Hamilton of The Athletic reports.
Impact Dosubnmu suffered a broken nose during Tuesday's clash with Michigan State and doesn't have a specific timeline attached to when he will take the floor. At the very least, the star junior guard will miss one contest, leaving the Illini without a major piece against the Cornhuskers. Tougher tests await in the next two games against Wisconsin and Michigan, so his status will be worth monitoring leading up to the contests.

Impact The injury appeared to occur when Dosunmu was driving to the basket but met with a vicious elbow from Michigan State's Mady Sissoko, who was subsequently ejected from the contest. Dosumu had been making a charge to the top of the Wooden Award list alongside Big Ten counterpart Luka Garza, but the injury has the potential to derail this momentum. The junior guard is one of the best pure closers in the game, in addition to an elite fantasy asset, averaging 21.0 points, 6.3 rebounds and 5.3 assists. It's unclear if Dosunmu will attempt to play through this injury with some type of mask, and if he doesn't, it's anyone's guess how much time he could potentially miss. The Illini are set to host Nebraska on Thursday night.

Impact Dosunmu had one of his strongest performances of the season Saturday with a triple-double against Minnesota, but he fell one rebound shy of a double-double Tuesday. However, the junior was still a key contributor for the Fighting Illini during the loss to Michigan State. Across the past five matchups, Dosunmu is now averaging 20.2 points, 7.6 assists and 7.2 rebounds over 36.8 minutes per game.

Impact Grandison wasn't very productive on the scoreboard Tuesday, but he's now played over 20 minutes in each of the past two games. He was one of the top performers on the boards in the loss to the Spartans, and he's now averaging 5.6 points and 4.0 rebounds over 18.4 minutes per game since joining the starting lineup.

The senior has been somewhat inconsistent this year, but he's averaging 14.0 points and 2.9 rebounds over 36.3 minutes per game across the past seven matchups.
