Ruled out for opening weekend Wright won't play in Friday's game against Loyola due to COVID-19 protocols, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports. Impact Wright's loss is a major blow to Georgia Tech's odds of reaching the second round of the NCAA tournament, as they'll be without their star big man who was recently named ACC Player of the Year. While he's out, sophomore Rodney Howard will be tasked with playing a larger role down low for the Yellow Jackets. On the season, Howard is averaging 1.6 points and 1.4 rebounds over 7.6 minutes per game. The team could also opt for a smaller lineup and trust senior Bubba Parham with a greater role, as he's started 13 games this season and is averaging 6.7 points, 2.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.0 steals over 26.4 minutes per game.
