GAME LOG

Not close to return Kepnang (knee) is not nearing a return, according to the Seattle Times.
Impact Kepnang underwent a surgery before this season to repair his right knee, but tweaked it again in December after playing 10 games and hasn't played since. The senior center will likely not return for a while, though Washington could definitely use him considering they started 7-3 with him playing and have gone 5-7 since with him on the bench.

Out Sunday Kepnang (knee) is out for Sunday's game against UCLA, Percy Allen of The Seattle Times reports.
Impact Kepnang will miss yet another game for the Huskies with a nagging knee injury, marking his seventh consecutive missed game. The former Oregon transfer has averaged 8.3 points and 5.9 rebounds per game through 10 games for Washington this season. Kepnang will next have a chance to return when the Huskies travel to face Cal on Thursday.

Remains out Saturday Kepnang (knee) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against Oregon State, Percy Allen of The Seattle Times reports.
Impact The big man continues his recovery process and participated in a portion of pregame drills, but will miss his fifth straight game Saturday. His next chance to play will come against Arizona State on Thursday.

DNP at Utah Kepnang (knee) did not play during Washington's game Sunday at Utah.
Impact Kepnang has sat out thrice because of his knee injury. Once again, Washington's team used Braxton Meah as its starting center. The 2023-24 Huskies are expected to begin their 2024 schedule Thursday against Oregon.
JANUARY 1, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Sits due to injury Kepnang did not appear in Thursday's 73-66 victory over Eastern Washington due to a knee injury, college basketball writer Percy Allen reports.
Impact According to Lars Hanson of Sports Illustrated, Kepnang took a hard fall last week against Seattle and did not return to the game after, which explains why he only saw 20 minutes in the contest. In his absence Thursday, Braxton Meah picked up the start and Wilhelm Breidenbach saw extra run. The Huskies now have a week off before beginning Pac-12 play at Colorado on Dec. 29, at which point Kepnang will presumably look to reclaim his starting role.

Kepnang powers Washington to 85-61 victory over Montana State

Franck Kepnang finished with 16 points and 11 rebounds to lead Washington to an 85-61 victory over Montana State
DECEMBER 6, 2023 • Associated Press
Logs 12 rebounds across 29 minutes Kepnang logged eight points (3-5 FG, 2-3 FT), 12 rebounds, two blocks and two steals across his 29 minutes during Washington's 74-71 win Saturday against Xavier.
Impact Kepnang's latest log indicates how well he can rebound the ball when able to play more than half a game. Before a knee injury prematurely ended his 2022-23 season, the big man averaged just a little over 20 minutes and 6.3 boards across his eight games during it.
NOVEMBER 19, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Makes return Sunday Kepnang (knee) returned to action in an exhibition Sunday against Saint Martin's. He finished with four points (2-3 FG), three rebounds and a block in the 103-58 win.
Impact Kepnang averaged 9.0 points, 6.3 rebounds and 1.9 blocks per game across eight games last season prior to injury, and he should be a bench option in this upcoming campaign.

Impact Kepnang suffered the injury Thursday at Washington's 66-65 loss at Oregon State, as the big man from Cameroon fell to the floor with 11 minutes left in the game and was eventually helped off the floor. He ended the season averaging 9.0 points, 6.3 rebounds and 1.9 blocks per game.

Impact Kepnang recorded his first collegiate double-double off the bench during Friday's win over North Florida. The 6-foot-11 junior appeared in all 35 games last season with Oregon, contributing 4.7 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.2 blocks on 14.7 minutes per game. Kepnang has taken on a larger role with the Huskies as expected, and he will look to work his way into the starting lineup at Washington this season.

Returns to bench Kepnang will not start for Oregon on Wednesday as they take on Oregon State, Matt Prehm of 247Sports.com reports.
Impact Kepnang, who started in Saturday's game against Washington State, will return to his role off the bench. The 6-foot-11 sophomore has appeared in 31 games this season, averaging 4.9 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.1 blocks on 14.3 minutes per game.
MARCH 9, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Enters starting lineup Kepnang will start Saturday's regular-season finale versus Washington State, Matt Prehm of 247Sports.com reports.
Impact Kepnang's cameo in the starting unit comes with the news that Will Richardson is under the weather and will miss the contest. Kepnang has just a pair of starts on his resume this season and will add a third Saturday, though he'll have to fight his teammates for rebounds along with the Cougars given the lengthy lineup the Ducks will trot out to start the contest.
MARCH 5, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Shines in bench role Kepnang supplied 17 points (7-9 FG, 3-4 FT), four rebounds and one block in 29 minutes during Sunday's 69-67 OT loss to Arizona State.
Impact Kepnang led the Ducks with a career-high 17 points as he only missed two shots from the field. Oregon seems to still be trying to figure out the big man's role, as he has started a pair of games and played a season-high 29 minutes in the loss to Arizona State. Kepnang has been productive when given an opportunity, connecting on 58 percent of his shot attempts.
DECEMBER 6, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Plays 12 minutes off bench Kepnang (concussion) had seven points (2-4 FG, 3-4 FT) and four rebounds in 12 minutes of action during Tuesday's 83-66 win over Texas Southern.
Impact The towering 6-11 sophomore came in questionable for Tuesday's contest due to an apparent concussion but was still able to provide some minutes off the bench. Kepnang had been in contention for the starting center role at one point. The Ducks went small with 6-8 Quincy Guerrier manning the five spot, so it remains to be seen if Kepnang will see certain starts in the starting unit if head coach Dana Altman ever decides to add some size.
NOVEMBER 9, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Has been tending to concussion Kepnang has missed time of late due to a concussion, which makes him uncertain for Tuesday's opener against Texas Southern, Matt Prehm of 247Sports.com reports.
Impact At one point in contention to be the starting center for the Ducks, it's now a bit cloudy whether Kepnang will even be available for the opener. With Quincy Guerrier nursing an ankle injury and N'Faly Dante still rehabbing a knee injury, Oregon may have to rely heavily on freshman Nate Bittle early.
