Edwards leads No. 10 Houston over USF for 8th straight win

Rusty shooting in return White amassed seven points (3-11 FG, 1-5 3Pt), five rebounds, one assist, two blocks and one steal across 29 minutes during Saturday's 66-64 victory over Tulsa.

Impact The injury bug continues to weigh heavy on this year's Houston team, but White was able to avoid missing his first game of the year despite dealing with ankle trouble this week. Yet another guard went down this week in Jamal Shead (ankle), so it appears likely that White and the other frontcourt players will be called upon for heavy usage moving forward. White's shooting performance wasn't great here, but he'll have chances to bounce back this week with favorable home matchups against South Florida and East Carolina on the schedule.

Available Saturday White (ankle) will be available for Saturday's matchup with Tulsa, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.

Impact White has been nursing an ankle injury this week but according to head coach Kelvin Sampson, will play Saturday. This is exciting news for Houston as the 6-foot-8 forward has started all 16 games for Houston, putting up 11.1 points, 5.8 rebounds, 1.1 steals and 1.2 blocks on 25.6 minutes per game. White provides much-needed defensive intensity for Houston, but the senior can also space the floor as he is shooting 40.4 percent from three on the season.

Nursing ankle issue White is dealing with an ankle injury according to coach Kelvin Sampson, Joseph Duarte of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Impact White may not end up practicing on Thursday. The team would like to have him available for Saturday's contest against Tulsa. White is putting up 11.1 points, 5.8 rebounds, 1.3 three-pointers, 1.2 blocks, and 1.1 steals per contest.
