Impact Stevenson posted the best scoring mark of his career in this lights-out shooting performance. The South Carolina transfer shouldered much of the offensive workload in this win, finishing with twice as many points as his next closest teammate, forward Jimmy Bell (15). Stevenson also broke his extremely rough stretch from beyond the arc, as he converted a season-high seven three-pointers after converting just 18.6 percent of his 5.4 three-point tries per game over eight conference games. The 6-foot-4 senior also hit an inefficient 31.5 percent of his 11.1 field-goal attempts per game during that span. Therefore, it's possible this outing could be more of an outlier than the norm for Stevenson moving forward.

Impact Stevenson cracked the starting lineup Saturday, but as expected, he was limited and failed to surpass the 20-minute mark just for the fifth time in the current campaign. The fact that he played should be positive, however, and he shouldn't have problems featuring against TCU on Wednesday.

While Stevenson has been a largely inefficient scorer in his long career, he'll look to this flaw in his game while serving as one of the Mountaineers' most experienced players this season. This is the graduate senior's fourth school after he has played at South Carolina, Washington and Wichita State. Last season with the Gamecocks, Stevenson averaged 11.6 points, 4.7 rebounds 2.8 assists and 1.1 steals.
