Impact LaBeaux underwent season-ending surgery to fix a lower body injury, forcing him out for the remainder of the season. The senior will take a medical redshirt to preserve his eligibility. Across 31 games (26 starts) last season he averaged 3.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 0.7 steals and 1.0 blocks in 21.3 minutes per game.

Giovanni Emejuru - Goes for 23 points, 10 boards Emejuru recorded 23 points (8-11 FG, 7-9 FT), 10 rebounds, one assist, two blocks and one steal over 31 minutes during Thursday's 71-70 win over Elizabeth City State.
Impact It isn't a great sign that the Pirates had to eek out a win over a Division II school. It is, however, a continued great sign to see Emejuru produce. The 6-10 center is averaging 20.0 points and 10.7 rebounds, and now has consecutive double-doubles. Look for more production Tuesday against UNC-Wilmington.

Impact Bailey started for Jordan Riley (illness) and had his best game of the season. The 6-2 sophomore had scored a combined 12 points in his first two games. He might have earned some extra playing even when Riley returns.
