Returns in exhibition win
Yalaho (upper body) notched eight points (3-6 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-6 FT), six rebounds and one assist in the Cougars' 74-66 exhibition win over New Mexico.
Impact
Yalaho was extremely limited during the 2024-2025 season with Texas Tech, playing in just eight games and missing 23 of the last 24 games of the season. He found a new home in Pullman via the transfer portal, and now the Finnish-born forward appears primed for a sizable role with the Cougars. Yalaho appears slated for a starting role, or very close to it.

Yalaho will transfer to Washington State, he announced.
Impact
The 6-foot-8 forward didn't get involved much in two seasons with Texas Tech. He played eight games in 2024-2025, and averaged 3.3 points and 2.4 rebounds across 11.3 minutes. He'll look for a fresh start with Washington State.

Leaving Texas Tech
Yalaho (upper body) has decided to leave Texas Tech and enter the transfer portal, Eric Bossi of 247Sports.com reports.
Impact
Yalaho missed the final two months of the season, and he needs to recover from an upper-body injury before thinking about where he'll play in 2025-26. Yalaho averaged 3.7 points and 2.7 boards across 12.9 minutes per game in his seven appearances off the bench in 2024-25.

Yalaho (upper body) didn't play in Saturday's loss to Florida.
Impact
As expected, Yalaho didn't suit up Saturday, so he had to see the Red Raiders' elimination from outside the court. The big man, who last played on Feb. 1, finished the 2024-25 season with averages 3.7 points and 2.7 boards across 12.9 minutes per game in his seven appearances off the bench this season.

Impact
Yalaho is set to miss his 15th consecutive game as he continues to deal with an upper body injury. The big man has appeared in just eight games this season so the Red Raiders are used to playing without his services.

Yalaho (upper body) is out for Saturday's game against Drake, Red Raider Sports reports.
Impact
Yalaho will miss a 14th straight game due to a nagging upper-body injury, and he hasn't stepped on the hardwood since Feb. 1. It remains to be seen if the sophomore will be able to play at all during the Red Raiders' run in the Big Dance.

Yalaho (upper body) is going through practice with Texas Tech ahead of the Red Raiders' clash with UNC-Wilmington, RedRaiderSports.com reports.
Impact
Yalaho has only appeared in eight games this season, missing the last 12 contests for Texas Tech. The fact that he's warming up ahead of the Red Raiders' first game in the NCAA Tournament is a good sign, although there's no official word on his status for Thursday night quite yet.
