While that demonstrates his consistency, Ugochukwu seemingly transferred to LSU for the prospects of a better role, and if he can be a top guard for the Tigers, an improved overall output may be on the cards for him in his 2026-27 season.

Impact Ugochukwu missed MSU's last game due to an illness, but was back in the starting lineup for his typical minutes workload in what turned out to be a lopsided defeat of the Trojans. The sophomore's overall output is a little too inconsistent for fantasy purposes, but he'll continue to see regular run in Tom Izzo's backcourt with a clean bill of health.

JANUARY 6 • ROTOWIRE

Gets hot, scores season high Ugochukwu provided 16 points (6-7 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 1-1 FT), two rebounds, two assists and two steals across 16 minutes during Tuesday's 89-56 victory over East Carolina.

Impact Ugochukwu has served primarily as the backup point guard to Jeremy Fears over the season's first six games -- a role that has resulted in limited playing time, and until Tuesday, limited scoring. The sophomore found his shooting stroke in this lopsided matchup, but his minutes will presumably be capped again once the matchups get tougher, starting Thursday against North Carolina.
