GAME LOG

Healthy into portal Evans (shoulder) is cleared to play and entering the NCAA's transfer portal, per Eric Bossi of 247Sports.com.
Impact Evans has recovered from the shoulder injury that caused him to be out for much of Louisville's 2023-24 season. The announcement is expected to improve his stock at least somewhat before he begins considering commitment offers from other colleges. After all, Evans was one of 247Sports.com's top-25 prospects before enrolling at Louisville during 2023.

No longer medically cleared Evans (shoulder) will not be medically cleared to play for Louisville moving forward, C.L. Brown of The Raleigh News & Observer reports.
Impact Evans had been out since Nov. 29 due to a shoulder injury that coach Kenny Payne recently called day-to-day. It's unclear what happened but Evans will no longer be able to play basketball for Louisville. The team will still honor his scholarship if he wants to continue his studies at the school, but if he wants to play college basketball again it will have to be with a different program. Evans is now the third member of the team's 2023 recruiting class who will no longer be playing for the team. Evans has incredible length and there is probably a team out there who will take a chance on the 7-1 big man.

Inactive Wednesday Evans (shoulder) will not appear in Wednesday's matchup with Virginia, Brooks Holton of the Courier Journal reports.
Impact Evans will miss his sixth-consecutive game as the Cardinals face off against the Cavaliers. The 7-foot-1 freshman, who continues to deal with a shoulder injury has averaged 1.6 points, 0.9 rebounds and 0.7 blocks on 9.1 minutes per game this season (seven appearances). Evans will have his next chance to return Saturday against Pitt, but his expected status for the contest is unknown.
