Impact Purdue got to go deep into its bench as it rolled over Maryland for a dominant -- and much needed -- victory that snapped a three-game losing streak. Jacobsen was one of the main beneficiaries of this expanded rotation, and he saw his most action since the Dec. 29 win over Kent State. He turned that into a respectable eight points and five rebounds, and also hit a three-pointer, his third of the season and still a marvel to watch at 7-foot-4.

Impact Jacobsen is beginning to develop into a reliable big man off the bench for the Boilermakers. This wasn't exactly his coming out party, as he did have 24 points and nine rebounds in a blowout win over Eastern Illinois, but his seven points and nine boards against the Hawkeyes were crucial in the narrow win; these might've been the sophomore center's most impactful minutes yet.

Impact Jacobsen has seen some volatile output as of late for the Boilermakers, but he was able to log double-digit points in a blowout win over the Golden Flashes. The sophomore center has seen his usage increase as of late, but it could be due to the blowout games that Purdue has recently been a part of. Still, he'll look to stay involved coming up, and he's shown that he can score against any level of opponents when coming off the bench.

Impact Jacobsen is often overshadowed by one of the best frontcourts in the country composed of Trey Kaufman-Renn and Oscar Cluff, but given both are seniors, Jacobsen should firmly be on the dynasty radar given how successfully Purdue has developed talent over the years. Right now, the 7-foot-4 sophomore is one of the best per-minute big men in the country, averaging 10.3 points on 73.7 percent shooting, to go along with 5.0 rebounds, in just 15.7 minutes per contest. His minutes will probably be less consistent when conference play brings tougher opponents, but the focus here should be the long-term outlook.
