Syracuse coach Jim Boeheim is in uncharted territory

Fourth double-double of season Swider provided 10 points (4-10 FG, 2-4 3Pt) and 14 rebounds across 40 minutes during Saturday's 77-74 overtime loss to Wake Forest.

Impact Swider didn't have his best shooting performance, but the entire Syracuse offense had a tough time in this contest. He still salvaged his fantasy output by delivering his fourth double-double of the campaign -- and first since Dec. 4. He's averaging 12.9 points and 7.4 rebounds per contest this season.

Impact Swider has drained three triples in three straight games and has registered multiple threes in four of his last five games, making 41.2 percent of those in that span. The senior is a decent scoring threat for Syracuse, averaging a career-best 13.0 points per game in his first year with the program.

Impact Swider is not a go-to player on offense such as the Boeheim brothers, but he has been productive and is certainly making his presence felt on both ends of the court. Through eight appearances, the senior has six games with at least 10 points and three double-doubles.

Impact Swider recorded a double-double Thursday and followed it up with a strong performance Friday, so he's settling as a nice complementary piece on offense for a Syracuse team that's currently led by the Boeheim brothers. Swider is averaging 12.5 points and 6.8 rebounds per game.

Impact Swider recorded a double-double in the season opener, and while he couldn't repeat that feat in this one, he at least managed to score in double digits for the second contest in a row. While he'll likely serve as a complementary scoring option behind the Boeheim brothers, Buddy and Jimmy, he could have some breakout performances from time to time. He undoubtedly started the season on a strong note.

The Orange have one more exhibition on the calendar against Le Moyne on Nov. 1 before opening up in an official capacity against Lafayette on Nov. 9.
