As he was already a sixth-year senior, the news likely means Baker-Mazara has played his final collegiate game. Exits early with injury Baker-Mazara didn't play in the final 16:59 of Saturday's 82-67 loss to Nebraska because of an injury he sustained on a fall in the first half, Ryan Kartje of the LA Times reports.

Impact According to USC head coach Eric Musselman, Baker-Mazara informed the Trojans' staff that he wasn't able to play the rest of the game due to an unspecified injury that occurred when Baker-Mazara fell to the hardwood while attempting a block in the first half. Baker-Mazara was subbed out with 16:59 left in the second half and did not return. Before departing, Baker-Mazara generated 14 points (4-9 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 4-4 FT), one rebound, one assist, one steal and two blocks over 19 minutes. He'll have a few days to recover before USC visits Washington on Wednesday.

Impact Baker-Mazara returned last Saturday from a three-game absence forced by a knee injury, and while he came off the bench, he still managed to tally an efficient 21 points in 23 minutes. He was back to his high-scoring ways with a regular minutes allotment Tuesday, in addition to posting his best rebounding total of Big Ten play. Unfortunately, Baker-Mazara and the Trojans have now lost four games in a row, potentially putting them on the wrong side of the NCAA Tournament bubble, at least for the time being.
