Impact Carr is expected to miss extended time after suffering a left thumb injury during Sunday's 103-68 win over Austin Peay. It's a tough blow for Tennessee as the sophomore guard has averaged 4.8 points in 10.5 minutes per game this season and was looked at as a solid bench piece for the Volunteers. Carr will miss the rest of November and most of December while recovering from the injury, with his first real chance at a return probably coming against Middle Tennessee on December 23.

Dealing with hand injury Carr (hand) suffered a left-hand injury in the second half of this weekend's win over Austin Peay, Ryan Schumpert of Rocky Top Insider reports.

Impact Carr was not in attendance during Tuesday's practice, and his chances of suiting up during Thursday's game against UVA seem slim. The 6-foot-6 sophomore has started to carve out a small role for himself, seeing an average of 10.5 minutes per game across the Volunteers first four outings, but this hand injury will likely be a setback for the young forward.

Impact Carr got his most minutes yet this season in a rout of Montana, and he made the most of them by shooting lights out from both the floor and the free-throw line. Carr doesn't always figure to be this big of a factor for Tennessee, but if the sophomore can keep proving himself in these buy games, he could earn more minutes as the season heats up.
