Impact Grill has been sidelined since early December due to a wrist injury, but he's recently shed his cast for a slimmer one and could be back in action sometime soon. Head coach Dennis Gates suggested he won't put a timetable on his return, so it will be worth monitoring his status for the upcoming contests.

Impact Grill's injury news is significant and will leave the Tigers without one of their top guards for a while. The 6-3 senior is averaging 8.4 points and 5.8 rebounds in 22 minutes per game in his inaugural season with the program after transferring from Iowa State. Look for Anthony Robinson to pick up a lot of Grill's minutes while he's out.

Impact Missouri replaced Grill with Connor Vanover, Mizzou's biggest addition from the transfer portal during the 2023 offseason. Noah Carter moves down from center to power forward, and John Tonje moves down from power forward to small forward so that the 7-foot-5 big man can make his first start for Mizzou. Grill significantly struggled during his first four games with Missouri, the last of which was highlighted by an ejection whose circumstances remain undisclosed.

Limited due to ejection Grill finished with two points (1-6 FG, 0-4 3Pt), four rebounds, four assists and one block across 17 minutes before getting ejected from Thursday's 70-68 win over Minnesota.

Impact Despite a 1-6 start from a shooting perspective, Grill had been on his way to one of his better all-around performances of the season prior to getting tossed from the contest. A Minnesota player appeared to make contact with Grill's groin area as he was coming down from a shot, but the referee standing right next to the play elected not to make a call. Grill clearly did not like the call and reacted aggressively, and that was enough to warrant an ejection. It's a letdown for those in daily formats, but there's no indication that Grill's availability will be in jeopardy for Sunday's matchup against Jackson State.
