30-piece in opener Tyson contributed 30 points (8-12 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 10-12 FT), three rebounds, two assists and one steal across 28 minutes during Monday's 87-60 win over Gardner-Webb. Impact Tyson was something of an unknown quantity for the Gophers after he transferred over from North Carolina, playing in 31 games last season but averaging just 2.6 points across 7.9 minutes. In Minneapolis, however, Tyson now has a chance to be the main man like he was at Belmont, and he reminded us just how potent of a scorer he can be. He shot 49 percent from the field in both of his seasons at Belmont, including over 40 percent from distance in each year. If he can score like that in the Big Ten, look out.
