Impact Head coach Bill Self said Tuesday there's no timetable for Thompson's return, except that he'll be out for "a while." Thompson supplies solid minutes off the bench for the Jayhawks, averaging 5.1 points, 1.3 rebounds and 1.0 assists over 17.0 minutes per game. It's unclear how Thompson's vacated minutes will be divvied up moving forward, though Dajuan Harris and Tyon Grant-Foster appear to be the leading candidates if Self decides to elevate a member of the backcourt.

Impact Thompson entered Tuesday night as a game-time decision due to a back injury, and he ended playing but only to pick up a new injury to his hand. He's left the game and is questionable to return. The Jayhawks will be down a man in the backcourt until Thompson is able to return.
