GAME LOG

Held scoreless in loss Gach ended with zero points (0-2 FG, 0-1 3Pt), one rebound and two assists in 16 minutes during Saturday's 84-71 loss to Colorado.
Impact Gach failed to score the fourth time this season despite getting the start in favor of Lazar Stefanovic, as he played just 16 minutes. It's a disappointing finish to the season for the senior who had looked good early on with three straight 15+ point games. Gach struggled with his ball control this season, leading the team with 2.1 turnovers despite playing less than 25 minutes per game.
MARCH 7, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Plays well off bench Gach notched 12 points (4-9 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal across 21 minutes during Saturday's 82-64 loss to Arizona.
Impact Gach posted a team-high 12 points off the bench for the Utes, as he continued to show his range with a pair of threes where he's shooting 37 percent on the season. He continues to play a bench role but logged over 20 minutes while reaching double figures in consecutive games after being held scoreless previously.
JANUARY 17, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Playing time decreasing Gach notched zero points (0-1 FG, 0-1 3Pt) over nine minutes during Thursday's 74-68 loss to Washington.
Impact Gach was held scoreless for the second time this season as he was relegated back to a bench role in favor of Lazar Stefanovic and logged a season-low nine minutes. He was shutout across the rest of the stat-sheet excluding a lone turnover. Gach has been impressive overall this season with shooting splits of 55/36/75 but appears to have fallen out of favor for the time being.
JANUARY 7, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Out of starting lineup Tuesday Gach will come off the bench in Tuesday's game against Fresno State.
Impact It's a curious move considering Gach was in the middle of a big stretch in which he was averaging 18.8 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 2.3 three-pointers over the past four games.
DECEMBER 21, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Another strong performance Gach finished Sunday's 66-58 win over California with 19 points (7-10 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 2-4 FT), six rebounds, three assists and one steal over 30 minutes.
Impact Gach led all scorers in the game with 19 points on 70 percent shooting, while also tying a team-high with six rebounds. Since entering the starting lineup for the injured Marco Anthony, Gach is averaging 17 points over the last three games. His impressive play may keep Anthony on the bench even when he's healthy enough to return, with Anthony only shooting 34 percent from the field.
DECEMBER 6, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Productive in 2021-22 debut Gach chipped in 11 points (4-6 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds and three assists over 20 minutes off the bench during Saturday's 89-56 victory over Sacramento State.
Impact Gach had been awaiting NCAA clearance after transferring for a second time, and it appears that arrived just in time for Saturday's showdown. He had a big role with the Utes to start his career but saw his playing time decrease while with Minnesota. It now looks like he's poised to increase his production while back with his original team. Gach saw more minutes than any other Utah bench player Saturday and was the only reserve to reach double figures.

Cleared to play Gach received his waiver from the NCAA is eligible to play the 2021-22 season for Utah, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.
Impact The senior spent his first two years of collegiate basketball as a member of the Utah Utes, but transferred to Minnesota last season. However, Gach transferred back to Utah and is now ruled immediately eligible to play for the Utes. The 6-foot-6 forward averaged 9.0 points, 2.82 rebounds and 2.5 assists while starting in 39 out of 58 appearances during his first two years in Utah. Gach figures to be a key member of Utah's rotation this season.
NOVEMBER 12, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Sidelined while awaiting clearance Gach has yet to hear the NCAA weigh in on his status for 2021-22, Josh Newman of The Salt Lake Tribune reports.
Impact This is unfortunate for a player, who like many others, elected to transfer for his final season of eligibility. His next chance to take the floor will be Saturday against Sacramento State.
NOVEMBER 9, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Won't play Thursday Gach (not injury related) will not be dressed for Thursday's exhibition game against Westminster, Josh Furlong of KSL.com reports.
Impact Gach will sit while still waiting for his waiver to be approved by the NCAA. It's unclear when an official ruling could come, but until then, the 6-6- senior won't be able to play for the Utes this season.
NOVEMBER 4, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Waiver hasn't yet processed Gach (eligibility) remains without an official NCAA waiver that's necessary for him to suit up for the Utes in 2021-22, Josh Furlong of KSL.com reports.
Impact Gach is returning to Utah after a year spent in Minnesota, but since it's technically his second transfer, he isn't automatically eligible to suit up. While the NCAA has been incredibly liberal with handing out waivers, it seems this one is taking much longer than expected. Gach did not participate in last Saturday's unscheduled scrimmage as a result, but coach Craig Smith continues to work him into the rotation as if a waiver is forthcoming. His next chance to take the court will be a Nov. 4 exhibition contest against Westminster.

Awaiting NCAA clearance Gach is awaiting clearance after Utah filed a waiver with the NCAA, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.
Impact Gach technically needs a waiver as a two-time transfer, even though he's going back to the school he started his career with. Also complicating matters is his recovery from March foot surgery. With little news seemingly available, Utah fans might need to simply wait and see if he's on the court for a Nov. 4 exhibition against Westminster.

Warming up ahead of game Gach (foot) is warming up and is expected to play in Saturday's game against Rutgers, Marcus Fuller of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
Impact Gach has been dealing with an apparent foot issue but it doesn't seem like it'll severe enough to hold him out of action. The 6-6 junior started the first 16 games of the season but has averaged 2.5 points and 2.1 rebounds in 14.7 minutes per game since his removal from the starting unit on Jan. 30.
MARCH 6, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Labeled GTD for Saturday Gach sports a game-time decision tag for Saturday's tilt versus Rutger, Marcus Fuller of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
Impact Gach has reportedly been playing through a foot issue of late, which is likely what leaves his status in question for the regular-season finale. A final word on his status should arrive on game day, but it sounds like he won't be fully healthy even if he takes the floor.
MARCH 5, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Playing through foot injury Gach is playing through a foot injury, Marcus Fuller of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
Impact Gach hasn't missed a game this season but his minutes have diminished since moving to a bench role in mid-January. He's averaging 2.0 points in 14.3 minutes per game in the nine outings since moving to the bench. Per Fuller, Gach could ultimately require surgery on his injured foot even if he continues to be able to play.
