Sniffs double-double Kapke closed Monday's 83-78 OT loss to Florida Atlantic with 17 points (7-10 FG, 3-4 3Pt), eight rebounds, one assist and one block across 30 minutes.
Impact Even though Donald Hand led the way for the Eagles with a strong 20-point performance, Kapke was equally impressive and finished just two boards shy of a double-double off the bench. Based on how comfortable he looked in this season opener, it wouldn't be surprising to see Kapke earn a bigger role in the rotation as the season progresses.

Logs double-double vs. Pirates Kapke chipped in 13 points (6-12 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 0-1 FT), 11 rebounds, one assist and one steal across 22 minutes during Wednesday's 84-54 victory over Seton Hall.
Impact Kapke capitalized on a huge blowout over the Pirates, tying his season-high of 13 points and tacking on a season-high 11 rebounds for his first career double-double. The 6-foot-11 sophomore has now started in all of his last five appearances for the Bulldogs, and he could solidify himself as the starting center if he continues to play at this rate moving forward.

Notches start Friday night Kapke will start for Butler against Georgetown on Friday night.
Impact The forward replaces Landon Moore in the starting five as Butler goes bigger against the Hoyas. Kapke has three starts already this year but has played sparingly otherwise, averaging 2.7 points and 1.3 rebounds across 10.2 minutes.

No action against Marquette Kapke did not see the court in Tuesday's 78-69 loss to Marquette.
Impact Kapke's absence comes as a bit of a surprise, as he had started the last three games, albeit with limited offensive output. Butler instead elected to go with a smaller lineup to match the pace and finesse of Marquette, with Patrick McCaffery getting the start at the five and Andre Screen seeing center minutes off the bench. With no reports of an injury having surfaced, Kapke's projected usage Friday at Georgetown remains a mystery.
JANUARY 29 • ROTOWIRE
Season-high 13 points off bench Kapke registered 13 points (5-9 FG, 3-6 3Pt), three rebounds and three assists over 20 minutes during Saturday's 80-76 loss to Creighton.
Impact Kapke has been a contributor off the bench in every game thus far, but he's seen his usage go up in the recent games with double-digit minutes in six of Butler's last seven outings. The sophomore big man capitalized on his increased playing time versus the Bluejays, registering a season-high 13 points and three makes from behind the arc. He likely won't start a game with the Bulldogs' five locked in at this moment, but he should continue to see an influx of minutes moving forward.
