Scoring surge in close win Joseph totaled 21 points (8-14 FG, 5-10 3Pt), three rebounds, one assist and one steal over 29 minutes during Monday's 59-55 win over Central Connecticut State.

Impact In a game that was supposed to be a blowout in favor of the Friars, Joseph helped keep his team up against the Blue Devils until the eventual four-point victory. Leading his team in points was impressive especially as he transferred in from Miami this offseason, but his 50 percent shooting from the arc also looked solid compared to his 36.4 to end out the 2023-24 season. The senior guard should be a top scorer for Providence this season, after averaging 9.8 points and 3.9 assists across 32 games last season.

Commits to Providence Joseph announced his commitment to Providence on Friday.

Impact Joseph will look to spend his last year of collegiate eligibility back in the Northeast region, where he spent most of his life and high school career. He averaged 9.6 points, 3.7 assists, 3.5 rebounds, 1.7 steals and 1.6 three-pointers made across his 27 games started as a junior for a Providence team that held itself together relatively well in an extremely tough Big East Conference. Joseph has more than enough tools to replace Devin Carter, who declared for the 2024 NBA Draft just days earlier.

Impact Players like Norchad Omier and Matt Cleveland certainly stand out for Miami, but there's no doubt Joseph made his presence felt against UCF. Outside of ending as one of the 'Canes top scorers with 15 points, he also filled the stat sheet with stellar contributions on other categories, particularly on the defensive end. Joseph is not expected to be one of Miami's best scorers on a regular basis going forward, but there's no doubt he has started the season on a strong note.

Impact Joseph has proven to be a valued option when part of Miami's starting lineup. After all, this is his second game started in place of Kansas State transfer Nijel Pack (lower body). Joseph logged at least 10 points, six rebounds and five assists during both of his two games started. So if Pack must continue to sit out, though unlikely, Joseph will be a promising option.

Due to the nature of his bench role, however, his fantasy upside isn't very high.
