Impact Ahmed started his second-consecutive game and had his most productive performance of the season with a perfect effort from the field and from the line to go along with four boards and an assists. The freshman big man has seen limited minutes throughout the season but has seen an uptick in three games since the loss of the injured Parsa Fallah (Torn ACL). He's now reached double figures in the scoring column in two straight and is seeing 20.3 minutes of action while averaging 8.7 points and 5.7 rebounds during that three-game stretch after having averaged 7.7 minutes with 14 DNPs over the first 28 contests.

Impact Ahmed appears set to be available with the chance to make his season debut Thursday. The freshman has been sidelined due to a preseason foot procedure and could see some usage right off the bat with Parsa Fallah (foot) and Lefteris Mantzoukas (undisclosed) both unavailable.

Return on horizon Ahmed (foot) has a chance to suit up by the team's game versus Cal State-Fullerton on Sunday, Marshall Scott of Pistols Firing reports.

Impact Ahmed has yet to play this season after preseason surgery to put a plate in his foot and his return is finally within sight. Head coach Steven Lutz said he's hopeful Ahmed could play Thursday night against Kansas City. If not, then Sunday is also a real possibility. Ahmed was a highly touted recruit and would add some nice size to the rotation once he's ready to go.
