Last Night in College Basketball: Arizona Beats UConn in Top-5 Thriller
Solo Ball - Scores 14 in first loss Ball registered 14 points (5-14 FG, 1-8 3Pt, 3-3 FT), two rebounds and one assist in 33 minutes during Wednesday's 71-67 loss to Arizona.
Impact Ball and the Huskies faced another difficult challenge Wednesday, this time falling just short to No. 4 ranked Arizona. Ball finished with a solid 14 points, but he did it on 14 shots. He made just one of his eight three-point shots, bringing him to a measly nine of 34 through five games this season (26.5 percent). Given that he shot 41.4 percent last season on the same number of attempts per game, it's likely he'll get out of this shooting slump soon.

Alex Karaban - Quiet in Wednesday's loss Karaban had eight points (2-5 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 3-5 FT), three rebounds, one assist and two blocks in 35 minutes during Wednesday's 71-67 loss to Arizona.
Impact Karaban had an unusually quiet performance Wednesday as he only took five field goal attempts across 35 minutes of action, tied for his fewest in any game since the start of the 2023-24 season. He did not make up for that lack of volume in any other department either as he only added one assist and three rebounds. The Huskies' best and most experienced player disappearing in the Top 5 matchup with Arizona is not something many would have seen coming, but he's been too good and too consistent over the past four seasons to have this be of any concern moving forward.

Jaylin Stewart - Solid versus Arizona Stewart chipped in 10 points (4-8 FG, 2-4 3Pt), three rebounds, one block and two steals over 28 minutes during Wednesday's 71-67 loss to Arizona.
Impact Stewart had a fine performance in Wednesday's Top 5 matchup, scoring double-digit points for the third time this season while shooting 50 percent from the field and from beyond the arc. He played well defensively too, recording two steals and one block across his 28 minutes of action. Although Stewart has clearly established himself as a crucial part of the UConn starting five, he does not appear to have great value from a fantasy perspective given his low utilization on the offensive end.

Eric Reibe - Scores 15 in close loss Reibe contributed 15 points (6-10 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 1-4 FT), four rebounds and two blocks in 28 minutes before fouling out of Wednesday's 71-67 loss to Arizona.
Impact Reibe made his second start of the season Wednesday and put together a good performance versus the No. 4 ranked team in the nation. The true freshman led the team with 15 points and hit the first two three-pointers of his career on five attempts. He also blocked two shots for the second time this season. He struggled from the free throw line though, and he's now made just two of seven attempts from the line this season. He will need to improve that aspect of his game as the season progresses.
