Maryland fell to the 17-seed in the Big Ten Tournament and will face Oregon on Tuesday. Mills was held to four points in 21 minutes in the Jan. 2 loss to the Ducks.

Impact Mills has proven to be a capable scorer in his freshman season in College Park, averaging 9.8 points on decent 43/35/73 shooting splits. Still, no one could've predicted what went down on Wednesday night against Northwestern. Mills took a career-high 17 shots, knocking down an extremely efficient 12 of them, including a career high six three-pointers. Couple that with a perfect 9-for-9 showing at the free throw line, and it was an offensive clinic that almost singlehandedly willed the Terps to a win over Northwestern. Despite the abysmal season for Maryland, Mills just put the Big Ten on notice.
