He's had no bigger bucket in his career than he did Sunday night, however, as Folgueiras hit the go-ahead three-pointer with 4.5 seconds remaining. He and the Hawkeyes now draw Nebraska in a Sweet Sixteen matchup Thursday -- a team they split with during the regular season, with each home team coming away victorious.

Impact Folgueiras has caught fire off the bench for the Hawkeyes recently. He notched 14 points in the narrow win over USC, shooting 50 percent from the field, and followed that up with this 15-point showing in Eugene in which he also did work on the glass with eight rebounds, and as a passer with three assists. The junior forward could be heating up at the right time for Iowa, for which every game counts in the battle to remain on the NCAA Tournament bubble.

The junior forward has been largely efficient this season, but it was a bad time to go cold from the field against a tough Illinois team. Folgueiras will look to bounce back in another tough matchup at Purdue on Jan. 14.
