This Indiana basketball team was more fun than years' past. Perhaps IU is better, or at least worth enjoying The Hoosiers had alley-oops, many 3s and thunderous slams. It was fun to watch, and suggested things around IU might be different.

Impact Wilkerson chucked up 10 three-pointers in his Hoosiers debut as Indiana romped an overmatched Alabama A&M squad. The Sam Houston transfer averaged 7.7 three-pointers attempted per game last season, and he clearly still has the greenest of lights in Bloomington. The talented scorer shot 44.5 percent from distance last season, and while that number will be hard to replicate, it appears the volume won't be at all.

Reed Bailey - Drops 21 in Hoosier debut Bailey racked up 21 points (7-9 FG, 7-7 FT), five rebounds and two assists over 23 minutes during Wednesday's 98-51 victory over Alabama A&M.
Impact Bailey, a transfer from Davidson where he spent three seasons, got off to a hot start with Indiana. He led the Hoosiers in scoring on a highly efficient 77 percent shooting from the field. The 6-foot-10 center isn't much of a stretch forward, as evidenced by his lack of three-pointers attempted. However, he figures to hold down the paint all year in Assembly Hall.
