Special (De)Livery: Sonsio Grand Prix

This feature at INDYCAR.com showcases special or returning liveries that teams will race at NTT INDYCAR SERIES events this season.

This installment focuses on the Sonsio Grand Prix on Saturday, May 7 on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course (4:30 p.m. ET, FOX, FOX One, INDYCAR Radio powered by OnlyBulls).

Christian Lundgaard – Arrow McLaren

Lundgaard will feature the bold colors and brand elements of VELO, a product of the R.J. Reynolds Vapor Company. Teammate Nolan Siegel also will run a colorful VELO design at this event.

David Malukas – Team Penske

Malukas is running a throwback livery to 2018 when Will Power earned Team Penske’s 200th INDYCAR SERIES victory at this event en route to a sweep of the Month of May by also winning the Indianapolis 500.

The throwback livery also is part of Team Penske’s 60th anniversary celebration this year.

Scott McLaughlin – Team Penske

McLaughlin is sporting the colors of Sonsio Vehicle Protection at this event. It’s a big weekend for McLaughlin, as Sonsio also is the title sponsor of the event.

Felix Rosenqvist – Meyer Shank Racing w/Curb Agajanian

Rosenqvist’s rotating liveries this season with SiriusXM channel artists continues at this event and in the 110th Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge in a nod to country superstar Morgan Wallen, who is featured on SiriusXM’s Morgan Wallen Radio (channel 64). The timing also is good because Wallen is performing Saturday night at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis as part of his “Still The Problem Tour.”
