Rogers sparks American University past Bucknell 75-66 in OT
WASHINGTON (AP) — Matt Rogers scored six of his 23 points in overtime and American University rallied to beat Bucknell 75-66 on Saturday night.
Rogers also contributed nine rebounds and seven assists for the Eagles (13-10, 7-3 Patriot League). Lorenzo Donadio scored 22 points, shooting 6 for 14 (3 for 9 from 3-point range) and 7 of 8 from the free throw line. Matt Mayock had 12 points.
Noah Williamson led the Bison (9-14, 6-4) with 20 points and six rebounds. Jack Forrest scored 18, while Elvin Edmonds IV had 17 points and four assists.
The Eagles raced out to a 21-8 lead in the first half thanks to a 10-0 scoring run and led 32-22 at the break. Donadio scored 12 in a second half that featured eight lead changes and six ties.
