Morgan State defeats Maryland-Eastern Shore 75-72
PRINCESS ANNE, Md. (AP) — Daniel Akitoby had 23 points in Morgan State's 75-72 win against Maryland-Eastern Shore on Saturday.
Akitoby had 10 rebounds for the Bears (12-16, 6-6 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference). Kiran Oliver scored 17 points and added three blocks. Kameron Hobbs had 15 points and shot 4 of 9 from the field, including 1 for 3 from 3-point range, and went 6 for 6 from the line.
Cardell Bailey led the Hawks (5-23, 1-11) in scoring, finishing with 27 points and four steals. Ketron Shaw added 15 points, seven rebounds and two blocks for Maryland-Eastern Shore. Hassan Perkins had 12 points and four assists.
Both teams play again on Monday. Morgan State hosts Delaware State and Maryland-Eastern Shore travels to play Coppin State.
