Massie scores 18 as Longwood takes down Bethune-Cookman 69-48
FARMVILLE, Va. (AP) — Johnathan Massie scored 18 points as Longwood beat Bethune-Cookman 69-48 on Sunday night.
Massie also contributed seven rebounds, four steals, and three blocks for the Lancers (6-1). D'Avian Houston shot 4 for 9 (3 for 5 from 3-point range) and 4 of 7 from the free throw line to add 15 points. Walyn Napper was 4 of 12 shooting, including 0 for 3 from 3-point range, and went 5 for 8 from the line to finish with 13 points, while adding six steals. The Lancers extended their winning streak to six games.
The Wildcats (3-4) were led in scoring by Elijah Hulsewe, who finished with 13 points and seven rebounds. Bethune-Cookman also got eight points from Dhashon Dyson. Derek Carter-Hollinger Jr. also had six points.
