Landrum scores 26 as Boston University beats Lafayette 62-48
EASTON, Pa. (AP) — Otto Landrum scored 26 points off of the bench to lead Boston University past Lafayette 62-48 on Saturday.
Landrum added nine rebounds and three blocks for the Terriers (8-13, 3-5 Patriot League). Ben Palacios scored eight points while shooting 3 for 4, including 2 for 3 from beyond the arc. Ethan Okwuosa had seven points and shot 2 of 5 from the field and 3 for 5 from the line.
Justin Vander Baan finished with eight points, eight rebounds and two blocks for the Leopards (8-13, 7-1). Eric Sondberg added seven points for Lafayette. In addition, Joshua Wyche finished with seven points and two steals. The Leopards ended a seven-game winning streak with the loss.
Boston University took the lead with 1:36 remaining in the first half and did not relinquish it. Landrum led their team in scoring with 13 points in the first half to help put them up 32-25 at the break. Boston University took a 13-point lead in the second half thanks to a 15-2 scoring run. Landrum led their club in second-half scoring with 13 points.
Boston University's next game is Monday against Holy Cross on the road. Lafayette hosts American on Wednesday.
