Hodges scores 18, Tennessee State knocks off Southeast Missouri State 77-74
CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (AP) — Kinyon Hodges had 18 points in Tennessee State's 77-74 victory over Southeast Missouri State on Saturday night.
Jason Jitoboh made a pair of free throws to give Tennessee State a 75-70 lead with 24 seconds remaining. Evan Eursher and BJ Ward each missed a 3-pointer for Southeast Missouri State to end it.
Hodges added seven rebounds for the Tigers (15-10, 8-4 Ohio Valley Conference). Jitoboh finished with 13 points, seven rebounds and three blocks. Justin Williams was 4-of-7 shooting and 2 of 3 from the free-throw line to finish with 11 points.
Josh Earley led the way for the Redhawks (8-17, 3-9) with 22 points and eight rebounds. Rob Martin added 17 points, seven assists and four steals for Southeast Missouri State. In addition, Eursher had 12 points.
